Installing using Homebrew

If you're using macOS 13 or later, the easiest way to install a recent release of Survex is by using the Homebrew package manager. If you don't already use Homebrew, you'll need to install that first.

With homebrew installed, you can install Survex using

brew tap survex/survex https://git.survex.com/homebrew-survex
brew install survex

Once you've installed as above, you can upgrade your homebrew packages (including Survex) like so:

brew update
brew upgrade
